Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are an agreement between you and GOODMEN VENTURES, Inc. ("HEYHEY", "we", "us"), the company that runs heyhey.bio. They cover your use of the website and everything on it (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use HEYHEY.
1. Who can use HEYHEY
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use HEYHEY for a business or another organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to that email address secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at hey@goodmen.ventures if you think someone else has access to it.
Give us an email address you control. One account per person, unless we agree otherwise.
3. Usernames
Your username is your page's address (heyhey.bio/yourname). It's first come, first served, and you can change it in your account settings. When you change it or delete your account, your old username becomes available to others right away, and we don't redirect the old address.
You don't own your username. We let you use it for as long as your account is in good standing, and we may revoke, reclaim or reassign it at any time, with or without notice, in certain cases, such as:
- spam, scams or other abuse;
- brand and trademark enforcement, for example when a username matches a brand, company, product or organization and its owner asks for it, or when it's likely to confuse people about who's behind the page;
- impersonating a person or organization;
- squatting, reserving or holding usernames to sell, trade or block others from them;
- usernames that are offensive, misleading or break these terms;
- usernames we need for HEYHEY itself;
- legal requirements, court orders or requests from authorities.
You may not sell, rent, trade or transfer a username, or offer to.
4. Your content
"Your content" is everything you add to HEYHEY: your name, bio, location, photo, links, posts and anything else.
You keep ownership of your content. To run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, publish and distribute your content, and to adapt it for formatting and display, such as resizing photos or creating link previews. This license lasts as long as your content is on HEYHEY, and ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies in short-lived backups and caches, which expire.
Your page and published posts are public. Anyone can see them, search engines can index them, and other sites and apps can show previews of them. Drafts stay private until you publish.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you post, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights.
5. Rules
Don't use HEYHEY to post, link to or do any of the following:
- anything illegal, or that promotes or helps illegal activity;
- content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- sexual content involving minors, of any kind;
- sexually explicit or pornographic images;
- intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- threats, harassment, bullying or encouraging violence or self-harm;
- hate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability or serious disease;
- someone else's private information, such as their address, ID numbers or financial details, without their consent;
- malware, phishing or links designed to deceive people;
- spam, fake engagement, or misleading links and redirects;
- impersonating a person or organization, or misleading people about your connection to one;
- scams, pyramid schemes or deceptive offers.
And don't:
- break, probe or get around our security, rate limits or access controls;
- scrape, crawl or collect data from HEYHEY by automated means, except as search engines normally do and as allowed by our robots.txt;
- overload or disrupt the Service, or interfere with other people's use of it;
- create accounts in bulk or by automated means;
- use HEYHEY in a way that could harm us or other users.
6. Moderation
We don't review everything people post, and we're not responsible for content others create. But we may remove or hide content, limit features, revoke usernames, or suspend or close accounts, at our discretion, if we believe someone broke these terms, the law, or put others or HEYHEY at risk. Where it makes sense and is safe, we'll tell you what happened.
To report a page or post, email hey@goodmen.ventures with its address and what's wrong.
7. Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on HEYHEY infringes your copyright, send a notice to hey@goodmen.ventures that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work;
- the address of the content on HEYHEY;
- your contact details: address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with the details the DMCA requires. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
8. Links to other sites
Pages on HEYHEY link to sites and services we don't run. We're not responsible for them, their content or how they treat your data. Visit them at your own risk.
9. The Service
HEYHEY is free. We may add paid features later; if we do, they'll have their own terms, and we'll tell you before anything costs money.
We work to keep HEYHEY running, but we may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. We don't promise any feature will stay the same or that the Service will always be available.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. That deletes your page, links, posts and photos.
We may suspend or close your account under section 6, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 4 (the part about backups and caches), 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16 keep applying after your account ends.
11. Disclaimers
HEYHEY is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that content on it is accurate. Keep your own copy of anything important to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, GOODMEN VENTURES, Inc. and its officers, employees and partners won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service or these terms, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service or these terms is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless GOODMEN VENTURES, Inc. and its officers, employees and partners from claims, damages, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your content, your use of the Service, or your breaking these terms or the law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you live somewhere whose law gives you rights these terms can't take away, those rights still apply.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect, by email or on the site. If you keep using HEYHEY after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't, delete your account.
16. Other
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part, we haven't given up the right to later. You can't transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
